About Mal Sillars
Mal brings 19 years of successful real estate experience to his transactions. He enjoys working with both buyers & sellers and has received awards for providing excellent service to his clients. He was named Realtor of the Year in 2003.
He advanced his real estate education by completing the GRI and MRE programs and holds the designations and certifications of Accredited Buyer Representative, Certified Residential Specialist, NAR’s Green designation and Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist. Additionally, he wrote and taught classes for the Colorado Association of Realtors on the topics of water and environmental issues in Colorado. He also taught the Colorado Real Estate Commission’s annual update class.
A lover of Colorado forests, he has served on the board of the Colorado Trail Foundation and is a co-founder of the Upper Arkansas Wilderness Volunteers, a local organization that works with the U.S. Forest Service to help keep hiking trails open and maintained. A former college educator and television meteorologist, he also is the local Cooperative Observer for the National Weather Service. He has served on numerous local boards, including the Central Colorado Regional Airport Advisory Board.
